30th edition of Milano Unica
The 30th edition of Milano Unica closed on February 6, 2020 with a positive balance, once again confirming its status as the point of reference in the high-end textiles and accessories industry. Attendance, including exhibitor companies, buyers, journalists and students, recorded good results.
The proposals for the Spring/Summer 2021 collections were at the center of the three-day event, along with the newly introduced concept of Sustainable Creativity.

The Opening Ceremony officially inaugurated the trade show with the welcoming speech by the President Ercole Botto Poala, followed by the contributions of the other speakers: Maestro Michelangelo Pistoletto, Artist; Marino Vago, President of Sistema Moda Italia; Carlo Maria Ferro, President of the Italian Trade Agency, and Ivan Scalfarotto, Undersecretary of State at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
During the Ceremony, the most significant milestones in the history of Milano Unica were retraced, underscoring - above all - the commitment to a sustainable supply chain that grows alongside style and quality.
At the end of morning ceremony, Ercole Botto Poala announced the name of the next President of Milano Unica: Alessandro Barberis Canonico.
The new edition of e-MilanoUnica, the digital marketplace high end textiles and accessories for fashion apparel, went online February 7, the day after the end of the event, with the participation of 168 companies and a total of 2,500 products for the S/S 2021 season.
Companies and buyers have once again confirmed their interest in the digital trade show, recognizing the opportunity it provides to benefit from an exclusive context of business relationships throughout the year.
MU Tendenze e Sostenibilità
One of the main novelties of the 30th Edition of Milano Unica was the integration of the Areas dedicated to Sustainability and Tendenze to highlight the paradigm shift pursued by the trade show.
The concept of Sustainable Creativity emphasizes the essential link between creativity and environmental commitment. The new space showcased the sustainable samples developed by the participating companies in the context of the three themes of the S/S 2021 Tendenze in a single immersive setting.
