Startup Textile Connection & Innovation Area

The new dedicated area for the 30th edition and all the participating companies

Startup Textile Connection & Innovation Area in Hall 16 is the new area for the next edition. The spotlight will be on startups selected by Startupbootcamp FashionTech together with the innovative companies of TexClubTec.

Fondazione del Tessile Italiano, in partnership with Startupbootcamp FashionTech, present Startup Textile Connection, an area dedicated to startups, testifying to the interest of the world of technology in the excellence of Italian fashion. Italian and international startups, selected from among more than 1,200 candidates by Startupbootcamp - one of the world's largest networks of multi-corporate backed accelerators helping startups scale internationally - will have an opportunity to present solutions that can revolutionize the entire fashion supply chain. The startups will present products and business models targeting more sustainable fashion, digital and Artificial Intelligence solutions and product traceability and product authenticity systems.

In recent decades we have experienced an unparalleled acceleration in technological progress and today the textile industry is proving to be one of the most advanced test benches for new products and for the identification of innovative uses.
In the Innovation Area, TexClubTec, Sistema Moda Italia’s section dedicated to technical and functional textiles, will present an overview of the numerous applications of technical, innovative and functional textiles, characterized by specific performance features or manufactured with innovative processes. The presence of products and companies representing the entire supply chain guarantees the exploration of options that bring together top-notch technology and new scientific advances. This is the direction taken by textiles manufacturers and tech companies with a view to fostering innovations that will modify their interaction with the external world.
In future, the predominantly commercial paradigm that has governed consumer spending and markets until now will be replaced by new themes revolving around functionality, sustainability and quality of life.
