THE EXHIBITION AREAS OF THE 42ND EDITION OF MILANO UNICA

Moda In, Ideabiella, Shirt Avenue, the International Observatories, and the areas dedicated to innovation and services for the textile supply chain

The 42nd edition of Milano Unica is getting ready to welcome exhibitors, buyers, and the media. The exhibition area has been specifically designed to highlight the quality of textiles and accessories with an easy product identification approach. The trade show brings together three main exhibitions – Moda In, Ideabiella, and Shirt Avenue – the International Observatories dedicated to Japan and Korea, and several special areas in support of operators to facilitate the development of collections and increase moments of professional exchange.

The main exhibitions

  • IDEABIELLA
    High-end menswear and sophisticated womenswear. Ideabiella is synonymous of continuous search for quality, respect of heritage and tradition, resulting in the production of fine wool and noble fabric fabrics, including blends with silk, cotton, and linen.
  • SHIRT AVENUE
    The exhibitors of Shirt Avenue focus on the most refined fabrics for men's and women's shirting, ranging from classic to casual, always with an emphasis on quality and style.
  • MODA IN FABRICS includes:
    • Tecno, the most advanced technical fabrics in terms of research and innovation at the service of performance;
    • Silky Print, printed and silk-finished fabrics, mainly used in womenswear;
    • Lace&Embroidery, including tulle, lace, and embroidery;
    • Knit, knitted fabrics featuring the highest standards in terms of quality and innovation;
    • Cotton Woolly, a versatile range of products that includes the excellence of cotton and wool fabrics.
  • MODA IN ACCESSORIES
    MODA IN Accessories includes accessory collections for clothing and features a wide range of accessories going from ribbons, labels, appliqués, to trimmings, pipings, buckles, buttons, and zippers.

The International Observatories

  • JAPAN OBSERVATORY
    Japan’s high-end manufacturing unites advanced innovation with enduring craftsmanship. Hosted by JFW and JETRO, the Japan Observatory brings together 53 leading Japanese exhibitors — including six newcomers — and features “JOB Next by JETRO” as well as the Trends & Index Corner, where visitors can experience a VR journey through Japan’s wool manufacturing.
  • KOREA OBSERVATORY
    Thanks to consolidated know-how and continuous innovation, Korean high-performance fabrics can be used for a broad selection of product categories ranging from outerwear to outdoor clothing to silk, wool, and embroidered fashion fabrics.

The Special Areas

  • INNOVATION AREA
    Innovation plays a key role within the Innovation Area, curated by TexClubTec, the technical textile division of Confindustria Moda. The central theme, “Textile Space: Innovative Horizons”, highlights advanced materials and processes that are reshaping the potential of technical textiles across multiple fields, from sportswear to personal protection, from medical devices to the apparel of tomorrow.
  • MAREDIMODA
    MarediModa is dedicated to fabrics and accessories for beachwear, lingerie, and athleisure. Maredimoda brings together a selection of specialist producers in a dedicated area. Here, visitors can discover the high level of specialization and creativity of Made-in-Europe products and access exclusive collections for summer 2027.
  • STARTUP TEXTILE CONNECTION
    This exhibition is dedicated to innovative startups in the textile-fashion supply chain. The proposal includes emerging business models, digital solutions, advanced technologies, and sustainability-oriented tools.
  • MU DESIGNERS
    The best design studios present their new collections with enriching artistic content to Milano Unica. This is a unique opportunity to offer professionals of the textile and clothing accessory industry new creative ideas for the coming season.
  • MU VINTAGE
    This area is dedicated to timeless pieces. Here, visitors can purchase unique items such as vintage dresses, accessories, and original materials. Rediscovering and reusing the past means adding style, preserve the memory of fashion, and reduce the environmental impact.
  • MU INFO & STYLE
    MU Info & Style offers services for businesses, seasonal consultations on styles and trend books. The space is reserved for professionals of the textile and clothing accessory industry who will find here innovative creations.
  • MU TRADE PRESS
    This area is dedicated to textile and fashion information, featuring the most important trade magazines and their editorial offerings to convey the values of an entire supply chain.
