MU Hotel, the storytelling of Milano Unica Tendenze S/S 2023

MU Hotel is the concept of Tendenze for the Spring/Summer 2023 season. 

 

The presentation of the creative proposals developed by the Milano Unica Style Committee was held on November 4 at Spazio Krizia in Milan.   

 

The long-awaited return to face-to-face meetings saw the attendance of a large number of exhibitors, visitors, members of the press, guests and fashion schools who were able to meet in person again and experience the mood and the atmosphere of an imaginary hotel where fashion blends with design and architecture in a virtual journey through nature and the cities of art, tracing the deep and shared human desire for escape and freedom.

MU Hotel 

 

Welcome to MU Hotel, a dimension of style, where the deeply rooted tradition of hospitality takes on new forms and where apparel blends with the most refined and elegant materials of hotellerie.   

 

MU Hotel invites viewers on a conceptual journey whose creative spark develops from the harmony between people and the places in which they live. Freedom, lightness and sense of openness translate into a Resort Wear style, linked to the imagery of holiday locations, with special attention dedicated to environmental sustainability. 

 

The precious materials and the natural fabrics range from the linen used for sofas and trousers to the silk of cushions and shirts and the raffia of a carpet embellished by delicate embroidery. The options are endless in the MU Hotel spaces, an imaginary location that embodies three ideal settings rich in suggestions, colours and styles. 

 

Ecoresort 

The scents and colours of the Mediterranean dominate this place exuding sophisticated and welcoming simplicity. Ecoresort presents cool and impalpable fabrics, like linen, coupled gauze and poplin. Handmade craft and decorations are drawn directly from the natural surroundings, including shells, ropes and wood. Sophisticated shades of white blend with soft and enveloping tones of silver, dusty coral red and pale gold.

Ecopalace

Fairy-tale aesthetic with exotic touches inspired by the allure of aristocratic homes. Damask satin and brocade, fringes and voile curtains are decor details that translate into fabulous textures, applications and accessories. The colour palette ranges from soft and pastel shades, such as pink and ash green, to intense and vibrant tones, like iris yellow and lapis green.

Ecoyacht

The lifestyle of the international jet set is at the core of Ecoyacht. The imagery is Saint Tropez, Monte Carlo and Portofino; the elegance reminiscent of the luxury cruises of the '50s and '60s. A cosmopolitan and uninhibited atmosphere featuring stretch proposals, super-shiny Lycra and iridescent and colorful nylon. Colour rises to the occasion with the most intense and vibrant shades, such as magenta blue, scarlet and aquamarine.
