Milano Unica Trends S/S 2019

The buzz begins in the fashion system, inspired by inclusion and environmentalism.

On 25 October, the Teatro Vetra will be the venue for the opening event in the sequence that leads to the 26th edition of Milano Unica.

The presentation of Trends S/S 2019 will stimulate dialogue and research, leading to collections that combine sensitivity, innovation and eco-sustainability.

In fact, at the heart of Milano Unica’s October presentation there is an invitation and a call for a commitment. The invitation, addressed to the entire fashion community, is to seek out unity and constant and constructive dialogue amongst the players along the entire chain, in order to create an “inclusive” fashion that is always open to dialogue.

The commitment is implied by the force and determination inherent in the “Save the Planet” motto, chosen to indicate the focus of this edition. A warning to safeguard our planet, which Milano Unica intends to use to increase awareness of environmental issues, knowing that, without the direct and irrevocable involvement of the textile industry, there can be no such thing as sustainable fashion.

The road to the Spring-Summer 2019 collections begins with Trends and its acute insights into contemporary society. Exhibitors, fashion houses, designers, style studios and, for the first time, students from fashion and design schools will all be able to preview them in this exhibition, the only one of its kind, dedicated to suggesting materials and inspiring the creative process.
