Milano Unica among the protagonists of Milano XL
Sustainability is the theme of the 2018 edition
Milano XL, the exhibition dedicated to creativity and Made-in-Italy production, returns to Milan from September 12 to September 24, 2018, during Milan Fashion Week.
Milano Unica, with SMI, its traditional partner, already among the protagonists of last year’s first edition, will participate with an installation that involves its exhibitors and highlights not only the excellence in terms of product quality and aesthetics, but also their value in terms of sustainability.
Milano XL, with the artistic direction by Luca Stoppini, intends to narrow the gap between the public at large and the fashion system, in its multifaceted identities and roles, by engaging it in a journey of discovery of the value of a supply chain that not only represents the second largest manufacturing industry in Italy today, but is a sector that more than any other reflects the world of quality and taste for the “beautiful and well made”, typical of Made-in-Italy production.
The six Milano XL “cubes”, display and demo installations, will be located in strategic places in the heart of Milan, and will invite visitors and bystanders to enter and get to know the identities and the excellence of production in the main sectors of the Italian supply chain: jewelry, leather, cosmetics, eyewear and, obviously, textiles.
In its role as exhibition of reference at the international level for high-end textiles and accessories, Milano Unica has the task and privilege to animate one of the cubes of the exhibition with some of the best products of its exhibitors.
The theme of the 2018 edition is Sustainability, a theme that perfectly matches the commitment that Milano Unica has taken on long ago to support the green production of Italy’s main textiles and accessories manufacturers.
The display wall set up by Milano Unica will present a composition of textiles and accessories selected from those that participated in the Sustainability Area of the 27th edition of Milano Unica, and which, therefore, stand out not only for their beauty and manufacturing quality, but also for their sustainable nature, in terms of production methods, criteria and systems. The exhibition, which will occupy one of the internal walls of the display cube, will present visitors with a many-sided and fascinating landscape combining weaves, materials and colors.
The appointment with Milano XL 2018 MOSTRA-DIMOSTRA / DISPLAY-EXPLAIN is in Milan, Sept. 12-24 with all of its installations throughout the city. Milano Unica and the cube dedicated to textiles will welcome you at the Palazzo dell’Arengario.
