The Events Areas and the Special Areas of the 27th edition of Milano Unica offer a unique and exclusive journey into the quality, style and elegance of Italian and international textile and accessories manufacturing. Trends, creative ideas and content for the A/W 2019-20 collections.
The Trend Village (Pav. 8)
The Area Tendenze, the creative heart of Milano Unica, presents the trends for the A/W 2019-20 season, and is dedicated to the “Nations to Nations” theme, celebrating the meeting of cultures and peoples.
With three times the number of participating companies and products compared to the February 2018 edition, the second appointment with the Sustainability Area will give visitors a preview of the most innovative, high quality proposals the sector produces.
For the second consecutive edition, there will also be a Filo Trend Area, dedicated to trends upstream of textile production, highlighting the indelible bond between high end yarns and precious textiles.
The Infostile Area and the Trade Press Area are dedicated to information on trends and international fashion, with models, books and the leading sector magazines.
In pavilions 8, 12 and 16, visitors will find the Synthesis Areas, where the samples from each company are collected, with visuals arranged by the exhibitors, along with touch screens.
The Vintage Area (Pav. 12) is dedicated to research applied to vintage fashion, with important apparel items, accessories and costume jewelry, representing an important historical and cultural legacy.
The Designers Area (Pav. 12) is dedicated to textile designers, the artists whose innovative creativity lies at the base of the fashion system, in an ongoing quest for beauty.
ComON (Pav. 12) is the creativity incubator platform containing ideas contributed by students of Italian professional schools and fashion universities.
Milan Polytechnic (Pav. 12): the students of the Fashion and Design Department present their project on the cultural and social value of sportswear, called “The City Runner”.
Linen Dream Lab by Celc (Pav. 16) is dedicated to linen, the green fiber for Europe’s future, and its brands: MASTERS OF LINEN® [100% Made in Europe] and EUROPEAN FLAX® (Fiber of European origin).
The Woolmark Area (Pav. 16) is entirely dedicated to new trends in Merino wool, revealed in The Wool Lab Autumn/Winter 2019/20.
Banca Sella (Pav. 16) is also present at Milano Unica, with its innovative and successful financial, banking and insurance solutions.
The Special Areas
The Korea and Japan Observatories, permanent areas at Milano Unica fairs, present high end production and premium quality fabrics from the Far East, with 18 exhibitors from South Korea (Pav. 16) and 27 exhibitors from Japan (Pav. 12)
Origin Passion and Beliefs, in Pav. 8, is the Salon of Italian manufacturing in the fashion and accessories sector. It is the first offering platform containing high level competences of Made in Italy manufacturing, at the service of the fashion production chain.
