The 37th edition of Milano Unica will feature 7 Italian startups covering the broadest areas of circular economy, from waste management to quality control, from traceability to the most sophisticated digital solutions.

 

Respectlife is a sustainable fabric that makes the circular economy a reality while supporting people's health and well-being.

Respectlife fabrics feature advanced functions, including thermoregulation and body moisture transfer, to reduce antibacterial, antiviral, odor, dirt, and UV risk.

The products are fully recyclable and convertible into new raw materials through a production process with a much lower footprint in water consumption and C02 emissions.

 

Plant me "the paper that blooms" is the ideal solution for eco-friendly tags and packaging. 

Plant me technology allows the production of living seed-based paper that can sprout and bloom even after being used and thrown away.

This is a very important gesture for the planet, given the importance of oxygen exchange that plants release into the environment.

 

FLOCUS™ is the brand name for kapok fibers, offering a range of textile products that innovate the supply chain from raw material to end consumer. The products, such as virgin fiber, yarns, woven fabrics, and nonwovens, are produced in a responsibly sustainable, state-of-the-art, automated facility that delivers volumes that would be unattainable by traditional manufacturing. Flocus has established the nonprofit KRAF foundation through which, with the contribution of some customers, it helps to regeneratively plant kapok trees.

 

Fili Pari Srl is a Fashion-Tech startup that aims to bring textile innovation to the service of responsible fashion. The company designs materials and technologies that start from marble, a typical Italian material.

The startup was founded in 2020 and its name derives from the anagram of the nicknames of its founders Fripi and Ali. An immediate reference to yarn, the world of textiles, and the overall vision that characterizes the brand.

 

Innotech is the Research & Development start-up of the best technological solutions to support social, environmental and economic sustainability. 

Jarvis - Just A Real Very Innovative Solution is the first ecosystem of highly innovative solutions concentrating on one goal: technology to support sustainable innovation.

Among these solutions, JarvisPack is the only platform on the market that offers enterprises a digital solution to reduce and streamline packaging and environmental labeling management. 

The tool uses a QR code to help companies meet European regulatory obligations for environmental labeling of packaging. The JarvisPack platform has been recognized by CONAI as a Best Practice for the digital channel. 

 

Cap_able is a fashion-tech start-up that develops products and projects that combine design and technology to promote debate and create awareness about issues that will shape our future. Cap_able's first project is the Manifesto Collection, the first apparel collection that uses patented technology to protect the wearer's privacy by confusing facial recognition cameras.

 

Fody is a startup that uses textile scraps, samples, and leftover stock for free, turning them into life-saving blankets that are donated in more than 5 countries. Materials that are not suitable to become life-saving blankets are transformed into promotional gadgets and new sustainable products that fund inclusive professionalizing workshops dedicated to disadvantaged people. 

The goal is to donate at least one million life-saving blankets by 2030, supporting at least 1,000 people in need, as well as transforming 1,000 tons of textile waste.
