The results of Milano Unica July 2018

An edition in the sign of sustainability and innovation

The 27th edition of Milano Unica, with the presentation of the collections for the A/W 2019-2020 season, recorded good results in terms of attendance and interest.

607 businesses participated: 475 exhibitors from Italy and abroad (up 4% compared to the July 2017 edition), plus the 132 businesses of the Japan and Korea Observatories and of Origin Passion and Beliefs, the platform dedicated to the suppliers of Made-in-Italy, top quality artisanal semi-finished products.

Specifically, exhibitors expressed their satisfaction for the presence of numerous international buyers from strategic markets and for their interest in womenwear textiles and accessories. This proves to be a growing trend in the last editions, contributing to defining a new balance in the offering of the trade show.

Visitors totaled approximately 6,000: data confirmed to be in line with the July 2017 edition, with a slight reduction in the participation of Italian businesses, compensated by a more interesting specific commercial weight, and with a significant increase in the participation of international businesses, in particular from the Netherlands (20%), United States (+9%), Japan (+6%), China (+5%), France (+3%) and Germany (+3%).

Milano Unica, with the unfailing support of ICE Agency – the operating arm of the Italian Ministry for Economic Development – and the participation of sector’s prominent representatives, like the Italian National Chamber of Fashion and Sistema Moda Italia – confirms to be the trade show of reference for the industry of Made-in-Italy and international high end textiles and accessories and as a key venue to meet and discuss trends and the most important challenges for the future of the sector.

The next appointment with the 28th edition of Milano Unica is scheduled from 5 to 7 February 2019 at Rho Fieramilano.
