Sustainability as innovation strategy
Reda Group is a leader in the manufacturing of sustainable textiles in pure Merino wool. Established in 1865, the historic wool mill directly manages and controls the entire supply chain, from fleece to fabric. Since 2004 the Group has been committed to measuring and reducing its carbon footprint, becoming the first Italian textile company, and among the first in the world, to obtain the B Corporation certification, the most advanced standard at the international level, which measures the economic, environmental and social impacts of its member companies.
Sustainable innovation plays a strategic role in the Reda Group and each fabric is the result of dedication, involving the entire production process and aimed at offering customers a certified and innovative product made in full respect of the environment. Innovation also includes digitalization and, in this respect, the Reda Group has created 90% of its collection directly in digital format to allow easy and quick access with a simple click through the Reda 4.0 digital platform.
The Spring/Summer 2022 Collection is the full expression of the Reda Group’s digital and innovative initiative, confirming the Company's well-established commitment to sustainability. The collection interprets the combination between the world of craftsmanship in the process of creation and creative thinking through upcycling, the digital direction, personalization and creative inspiration. This is a "Digital Green" collection, created entirely digitally, to ensure the reduction of waste and produce exclusively based on actual orders. Sustainable innovation was also interpreted in the smart stretch fabrics of the Reda Flexo line, using premium ROICA™ V550 by Asahi Kasei, a real breakthrough in terms of sustainable stretch fiber. The Reda Active line also combines comfort with performance quality, ensuring high breathability and active thermoregulation, making the fabric easily adaptable to all temperatures.
The current situation has laid the foundations for a global rethinking in the way collections are presented and appreciated, and Reda has decided to take full advantage of the opportunity to meet the new needs of its customers, by developing a cutting-edge digital platform that allows access to the broad range of Reda fabrics with a simple click. Reda 4.0 lets users enjoy a 360 degrees experience, learning about Reda’s new products and fabrics. Reda offers two main categories: Formalwear and Leisure. Customers can order the fabrics that best suit their needs easily, quickly and, above all, sustainably.
