The 37th edition of Milano Unica will also be in the Metaverse
For the 37th edition, Milano Unica is developing a project in the Metaverse in collaboration with PwC Italy.
What is the Metaverse?
The Metaverse is a digital universe combining multiple technological elements, including videos, images and suggestions, usable in virtual reality and augmented reality. It could be regarded as a kind of "virtual space" where people can create, live and experience a wide range of experiences.
It was first developed in the early 1980s from cyberpunk culture promising to bring human interaction into an immersive world where people could interact with each other as if they were physically present.
The concept of the Metaverse became popular with science fiction novels, like "Snow Crash” by Neal Stephenson published in 1992. In recent years, the term has become increasingly relevant with the development of technologies such as virtual reality, augmented reality and blockchain.
Users can access the Metaverse via 3D visors, web and mobile and enjoy virtual experiences, creating realistic avatars, meeting other users, traveling and attending concerts, conferences, parades and more.
Why does Milano Unica enter the Metaverse?
Increasingly immersive experience
The project in the Metaverse of Milano Unica will not be a copy of the physical trade show, but rather a fascinating journey inside the "emotional rooms" of the three F/W 24-25 themes of the MU Community. These virtual rooms will allow participants to deep dive into a world of creativity, textiles and design, where they can discover the inspirations behind the creative concepts for the upcoming season.

Milano Unica has always demonstrated a strong commitment to embracing new technologies to enhance the visitor experience. With the journey into the Metaverse, the project is at the forefront of digital innovation, with a unique experience in the upstream supply chain landscape.
New Generations and beyond
As demonstrated by the continuity of the Back to School project, Milano Unica has always been committed to stimulating the interest of the younger generation and recognizing the importance of engaging young people, who have grown up with digital technology, through increasingly interactive experiences.
However, the Metaverse represents a virtual world that surpasses age barriers. Milano Unica believes that the Metaverse can also be appreciated and exploited by non-digital natives, who may have the opportunity to discover new connections and engagement systems. MU Metaverse is for all our visitors.

The MU Metaverso corner will be located near the Sostenibilità Creativa Area F/W 24-25 in Hall 1, with four 3D visors and dedicated staff available for visitors.
