MILIOR

Sustainable Made-in-Italy textiles

In business since 1895, Milior is one of the oldest companies in Prato’s dynamic textile district. Fundamental to Milior's longevity is its ability keep the pace of its business practices and fabric collections in step with the constant evolution of the fashion industry and the textile market.
Alongside the experience accumulated by the five generations of the family who have led the group, there has always been a strong propensity for innovation, which focuses today on sustainability and environmental protection.
To ensure maximum value and eco-friendliness, all Milior fabrics are designed and produced in Italy, with a stringent control on the use of chemicals, quality and the physical characteristics of the products, resulting in full-cycle traceability.
Milior offers products targeting the most important international fashion brands and fashion designers, who often peruse our vast textile archive seeking inspiration for their collections.

the entire production cycle is zero km, all in our Prato district, thanks to the collaboration we have established with expert artisans and highly qualified companiesWhich is the most innovative product of your Autumn/Winter 22-23 collection?

For the new Autumn/Winter 22-23 season we have created Tarallo Rec, which is the sustainable version of our iconic product. Also in this case, the entire production cycle is zero km, all in our Prato district, thanks to the collaboration we have established with expert artisans and highly qualified companies. Our new products can be summed up by three fundamental pillars: Made-in-Italy, process integration and supplier quality control.

What characteristics make Tarallo Rec innovative?
Tarallo Rec is our flagship product for sustainability. The fabric is made of polyester recycled from plastic bottles. This product has been designed to respect the environment and nature. We have always believed that sustainability and technology are two sides of the same coin. In recent years we have invested heavily in solutions that enable us to produce with a minimal carbon footprint.

This explains the rationale behind our

decision to increasingly use recycled fibers,

such as wool, cotton, polyester and

polyamide, which we have been using for our GRS-labelled products.

Do you have a dedicated communication campaign?
We are currently working on a targeted communication campaign for Tarallo Rec. To do this, we will implement the most suitable communication channels to enable us to primarily emphasize the characteristics of sustainability.

To which buyer are these products addressed?
Tarallo Rec targets all those clothing manufacturers that produce elegant and informal collections. Tarallo Rec is suitable both for daywear and eveningwear, for the office, for an aperitif or an important dinner. The end result is a minimalist, glamorous look, which is never excessive and withstands the fashion trends.
