Milano Unica Shanghai S/S 2018
The Chinese market is increasingly important for Italian textiles
This edition confirms that the Chinese market is becoming increasingly important for Italian textiles: China and Hong Kong were, in fact, the leading export market for Italian textiles in 2016, with an overall turnover of euro 368 million. Even excluding Hong Kong, China is the fourth international market of reference: both combed and worsted wool fabrics and linen fabrics are on an uptrend.
Milano Unica Shanghai is an increasingly successful event: at the National Exhibition and Convention Center, from October 11 to October 13, the fashion community met the 54 exhibitors of the MU Pavilion, coming into contact with the excellence of Italian textile production, that also included the finished products showcased at the Italian Fashion pavilion, present at Chic, thanks to the support provided by the Italian Ministry for the Economic Development, the partnership with ICE Agency and the collaboration of Sistema Moda Italia.
“The results of this edition confirm that believing in Milano Unica does not mean taking a leap into the unknown, but, instead, is a solid investment in supporting businesses that contribute to it,” Ercole Botto Poala.
