Milano Unica presents: "Nations to Nations"
A combination of peoples and countries, cultures and traditions.
The FW 2019-2020 Trends Event opens the new trade show season. The appointment is scheduled for July 10-11-12 at Fiera Milano Rho.
Milan, March 28, 2018. The presentation of the FW 2019-20 Trends Event represents the kickoff event for the organization of the 27th edition of Milano Unica.
As usual, the new trade show season opens with the presentation of textile proposals, colors and new material finishes. This time, in line with international orientation of the Style Committee headed by Art Director Stefano Fadda, Milano Unica promotes a message of universal positivity and unity among peoples and nations from different parts of the world.
This is exactly what Milano Unica succeeded in developing by combining industrial districts and different textile cultures into one single venue, leveraging on diversity as a leitmotif and an asset.
In terms of FW 2019-2020 trends, the concept of "Nations to Nations" translates into a combination of values tied to different nations' traditions, craftsmanship and working knowledge to recreate a novel and more modern storyline that intertwines different cultures.
The idea is to play with contrasts of colour, fabric weights, patterns, structures and prints, while bearing in mind a priority: the fabrics of the future will have to be environment-friendly, reducing chemical products, water waste and polluting energy sources.
Three “Nations to Nations” proposals are showcased, each combining three countries located poles apart, and three themes: Organic Grunge, Handcrafted Essentialism and Techno Romantic.
“The slogan of this event is “United to be Unique” as a source of infinite wealth translating into technical suggestions, always at the core of the services provided by the trade show dedicated to high end textiles and accessories,” says Ercole Botto, President of Milano Unica.
“We have drawn from the inspiration of the FW 2019-20 Trends, because the textile industry is a strategic link in the supply chain, inspiring choices, styles and new insights. This reciprocal dialogue promotes interaction between the most important players, i.e. the producers of fabrics and accessories, designers, students and, last but not least, the clients,” adds Antonella Martinetto, President of Moda In, delegated to Milano Unica Trends.
“The three themes will be at the center of the Trends Area, located inside the Milano Unica Trend Village,” concludes the General Manager Massimo Mosiello.
