CLASSIC! builds on the most stable set of rules in the fashion industry and reinterprets them from within, influencing rather than destroying them. The foundation for action is provided by sartorial precision: misaligning, rendering opaque, disrupting and mismatching. The result is asymmetry without compromising refinement.

It is a subtle approach, not overt, that shifts the balance with minimal yet effective interventions. It introduces what appear to be carefully placed imperfections on precious materials, which are almost invisible to an untrained eye. Surfaces come to life, bearing the traces of time and human touch. Nothing is ornamental, everything is intentional.

From the impeccable structure of pinstripes and striped shirts to the purity of cashmere and the compactness of double-face wool, these materials require no validation. They carry historical significance, making them the perfect foundation to silently subvert.

TREATMENTS AND FINISHES

  • Dirty devorè velvet and double-layered fabrics with varying degrees of transparency
  • Calibrated rips on fine fabrics
  • Contrasting needle-punched stitching using metallic yarns
  • Misaligned jacquards with intentionally ginned motifs
  • Dirty finishes on classic colours
  • Fabrics with uneven pinstripes and staggered stripes, with broken lines and varying thicknesses
  • Double-face fabric, partially opened or peeled apart to reveal the interior construction
  • Shirting with varied weaves, micro-jacquard or over-dyed
  • Matte and deglossing treatments on precious materials
  • Intentional imperfections: unfinished edges, subtle asymmetries and uneven textures

ACCESSORIES AND FINISHES

  • Classic buttons in horn, mother-of-pearl or metal, oxidised, satin-finished and lopsided
  • Concealed or micro-visible zippers with small pull tabs
  • Linings in noble materials such as silk, heavy viscose or cupro, with tone-on-tone or striking contrasting motifs
  • Linear, graphic, semi-technical embroidery, interspersed as disconnected elements
