Milano Unica, the Italian Textile Trade Fair which takes place twice a year in Milan (February for S/S and September for F/W), unites a number of prestigious Italian Fairs that have represented the finest in Italian and European fabrics around the world for the past 30 years. Milano Unica gave rise to another prestigious tradeshow, Milano Unica Shanghai, that has just successfully concluded its 9th edition.
Milano Unica China is the leading Trade Fair for high-end fabrics in China.
Since its debut in March 2012, the event has become a must-see for clients of the mid to upper and high end market range. An average of 4,000 top level visitors are expected at every exhibition.
The Far Eastern market continues to open its doors to luxury Western fashion. The Italian textile industry is one of the foremost players here, both through sales of finished ‘Made in Italy’ products manufactured from national fabrics and accessories, as well as many high-end semi-finished goods, required for the development of Chinese fashion.
The Chinese still consider both European and American products as genuinely ‘symbolic’ of fashion. In this match between East and West we find that Italian textiles, which play an important role in the quality of finished products globally, are essential for the creation of local top-end fashion.
In addition, Milano Unica answers the rising demand for quality womenswear and leisurewear. An increasing interest in men’s products, both modern, informal and classic, has also been confirmed at the various editions.
Organized by Milano Unica with the support of the Ministry of Economic Development, in collaboration with Ice Agency, foreign trade and promotion bureau and Sistema Moda Italia. Special partners: Banca Sella and Woolmark.
Visitors: Admission to Milano Unica Shanghai is by invitation only.
